Why do you charge a membership fee?NMSG is a not-for-profit organisation. We charge an annual fee of $35 to cover our running costs, as well as subsidise celebrations thoughout the year, such as our summer and Christmas parties.
-
What are the benefits of joining NMSG?NMSG members get instant access to many heavily subsidised events organised by us: baby & bump coffee catch-ups, specialised talks and events, lots of socials for you and your little ones in various locations both indoors and outdoors, a monthly newsletter sent to your email, lots of discounts with our partnering businesses, and plenty more! Our talks are given by professionals experienced in the areas of pregnancy, postnatal care, feeding, sleeping habits, potty training and all matters concerning the raising of young children. We aim to help families establish or add to their network of friends and share experiences of being parents with young children in Singapore.

I'm not a 'new mum', i.e. I have more than one child or my child is now 2, can I still join?"Of course! NMSG exists to support mums, dads and familes with young children.

Why can't my helper take my little one to events? Here at NMSG, we are all about supporting our wonderful mums and dads through every day life with young kids. Whilst parenthood is fun and rewarding, it can also be incredibly lonely, especially if you're new to Singapore. Sometimes you just need a friendly face after a terrible night and our aim is to help you to make new friends and build up a great support network of other parents who understand exactly what you're going through. That's why we've decided to make all NMSG events for mums and dads only. Whilst we understand that our helpers are hugely valued and integral parts of our families, it's important to us that our events are for parents to connect with other parents.

How do I join the committee? We are always looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join the committee. NMSG is run entirely by a volunteer led committee and we each have a role from hosting events to managing communications and finances. Our committee members also help to organise our special events throughout the year and contribute to the NMSG blog. Joining is a great way to give something back, make new friends and keep those workplace skills fresh and current. To find out more and register your interest, email us at cochairsnmsg@gmail.com
